Thu 3 Aug - Billesdon - Poulton le Fylde

Armed with fish pie we said good bye to Chris and the lovely village of Billesdon. Thanks Chris - we had such a good time with you 😁.  A few snaps as we were leaving...

Next stop - Poulton le Fylde via Shugborough Estate in Staffordshire - 175 miles, 3hrs 38mins.

According to the National Trust website Shurborough Estate is "A Staffordshire paradise: a rich blend of landscape, monuments, gardens and architecture, shaped by exploration and global encounters"

Here's what we saw in the three hours we spent there....

The mansion house is set in over 900 acres of land

and has sumptuous rooms..

and lovely formal and walled gardens with oodles and oodles of flowers

Love the staff and pigs only sign 😂

The next leg of the trip was a pain up the rear end.  Hit traffic near Manchester and crawled along in first and second gear for about 40 minutes 😖.  Major celebrations when we got into third!

We're staying in Poulton with the Stuart and of course it was lovely fish pie for dinner.  Well-ready for it by then 😀.  Yum Yum - fish pie is right up there for me!  Thanks Chris - it was delicious and we ate it all!
