Started the day with my second UK parkrun, not super rainy this time, but not sunny either!
Then it was off to Scoveston Fort, a sprawling structure built in the 1850's to provide land defence against the French and that was home to Dad and several other families from 1940 - 1947. No gas, no electricity, no running water! Incredible really. Nature has now reclaimed the fort but parts were accessible and we had a good look around...
Then it was off to Bosherton Lily Ponds
The ponds are a linked system of three man-made lakes designed to provide fishing opportunities on the Campbell family's Stackpole Estate
Afterwards we headed to the bleak and desolate St Govan's Chapel - a
tiny hermit’s cell built into the cliff at St Govan’s, near Bosherston...
And then on to Broadhaven South beach, where it was blowing a bit of a gale, but that didn't deter the wedding that was taking place there! And then a bit of a cliff walk along more of the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline..
