Off to the UK (again )

Unbelievably and despite going earlier this year Dad was a keen bean to head back to the UK this October.  He's been busy investigating his ancestory and with the help of DNA testing and the super sleuthing powers of family friend Bev he's discovered the identity of his maternal granddad and the existence of two half cousins.  Eager to meet the latter Dad was gung ho to make yet another trip to the UK and when the call for a chauffeur / chaperone came my hand shot up.

So - 10 days after returning to Oz after a FABULOUS 3 week holiday in Japan it was once again back to the airport, but this time with an important distinction.  Business Class - which obviously means I'm just as excited about the journey as the destination!!  More on that a bit later.  

Dad put the itinerary together and it's pretty similar to our trip in 2023 although very sadly 3 people have died since we last visited - a sobering reality of getting older.   We're away for 5 weeks, with the majority of our time with Dave and Michele in Pembrokeshire Wales.  Michele is an exceptionally good cook so will have to make sure to go running just so I can eat more 😀😀😀.

I adore the UK so will always be available for the position of Dad's chauffeur and feel so lucky to have the opportunity to travel there, particularly the BC part of it.  BTW we're flying on Qatar - voted best BC 2025 and amazingly some of the cheapest BC tickets I could find.  Whooo hoooo!! 😎
